Why I am a vegetarian

People are constantly asking me why I choose no not consume meat. I have a handful of reasons. I don't want to subscribe to animal cruelty, killing the environment, getting someone else to do the killing for me, being unhealthy, or just eating food that I don't enjoy. Something makes me feel so much better about having good diet. This also includes not ingesting harmful chemicals that most processed food contains, such as PHO's, MSG, High Fructose Corn Syrup, dyes, and artificial sweetners. I am still researching to find the best evidence that these things are harmful. I don't want to just throw websites at you, but if you are really curious do the research yourself!

The page about the environmental effects of eating meat tied the issues together very well. I think I'm going to make a stronger effort to avoid meat, not that I've eaten any in about the past week. Perhaps I'll just go vegetarian soon :D
